Name of ‘Messrs. Macmillan and Co.’ removed from Bhagavad Gita As It Is

Hare Krishna,
PAMHO! AGTSP!
Couple of days back, I was reading Bhagavad-gita As It Is – Original with a friend who had the changed one. I knew about the unauthorized changes, but I found one major change. The change is in the Preface of the book, where the name of the Messrs. Macmillan and Co. is removed.
I thought of writing about this for the benefit of all the readers.
Below is the comparison. The text appears in the first paragraph of the Preface.
Bhagavad Gita As It Is – Original
“But later on, when the demand for Bhagavad-gita As It Is considerably increased, I was requested by many scholars and devotees to present the book in its original form, and Messrs. Macmillan and Co. agreed to publish the complete edition.”
Bhagavad Gita As It Is – Changed
“But later on, when the demand for Bhagavad-gita As It Is considerably increased, I was requested by many scholars and devotees to present the book in its original form.”
The text “and Messrs. Macmillan and Co. agreed to publish the complete edition” is completely wiped off. This deletion definitely proves the intention behind it.
Srila Prabhupada ki Jai.
Krishna Nama Dasa Adhikari

  1. Is there still any doubt that demons have infested ISKCON?
