At Prabhupada's Point, over a dozen devotees came together, had kirtan and honored prasadam with the intent to discuss and move forward in the direction towards self sustainability. We discussed many different ideas to generate income by using what Krsna has given us on this land.
Here at Prabhuapda's point , the land is unique in many ways, from rock cliffs and caves that have been utilized for building kirtan lodges, rustic barns built from the materials on our land, to a lush forest that gives home to many varieties of herbs such as golden seal and comfry. "Some of the activites we are involved in include tapping maple trees and making maple syrup, building rocking chairs out of hickory saplings that grow on the land, working the greenhouse in which we grow vegetables and herbs and also utilizing our sawmill in which we mill up our own lumber."
