An
offering at the auspicious day of Vyasa Puja to my loving spiritual
master His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada 11th of
August 2012
By Purujit Dasa (HARE KRSNA Center Montreal)

 In
the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad-gita, Lord Sri Krsna, the Supreme
Personality of Godhead describes a tree whose branches grow downwards
and whose roots grow from upwards. It is the most befitting analogy of
the Lord which explains the nature of the world we live in. In this
connection, Srila Prabhupada often uses the expression "perverted
reflection". Whatever we see here must be present in the spiritual or
unlimited world. The difference is that in the spiritual world there's
reality, whereas here we see only the reflection of that reality. One
who wants to cut off his relationship with such temporary reflection,
must therefore scrutinizingly study the nature of it. The
impersonalistic philosophers realizing the futility of trying to enjoy
the fruits of such a reflection give up and proclaim brahman satyam
jagad mythia, or in other words that the only reality is Brahman or God
and they try to convince us that whatever we see in this world is simply
an illusion. In this way they embark upon frustrating path of stuborn
denial of all varieties, all individuality, all forms and ultimately of
all blissfulness as that can only come when the living entity serves
another living entity. Such foolish speculators' theories fall apart
though when we ask wherefrom the illusion is coming from if God is one?
How can illusion be apart from God? And if God is real, how can
illusion, which is one with God be false? All these wonderful challenges
have been presented to us in the Western world by His Divine Grace
A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the most prominent of all the
acaryas of the present age.
 Tormented by the hallucinatory utopic
theories of evolution, hypocritical bodily equality, communism, fascism,
post modernism and other fanatical isms, the Western world has
struggled for ages and people have been literally turned into walking
dead zombies, whose last remnants of individuality have been stolen by
the identity-dictating commericals of the dogma spreading medias.
Identifying identity as a mere illusion, the captains of Mayavada are
ready to supply you theirs and in unlimited numbers. "You" don't exist
anyway, so why not try the identity we're giving you for free in a
meanwhile before you also become God like us? Srila Prabhupada as a true
hero arrived in 1965 to the Mecca of this Mayavada civilization, United
States of America with firm determination to kick on her impersonal
face with shoes and because some of us have at least theoretically
understood his divine kicks to be a true purification, the Hare Krsna
movement created a crack, which no one will ever be able to mend. It's a
crack at the root of our materialsitic Godwannabe thinking.

Srila Prabhupada explains:"Vaiṣṇava philosophy is, this world is not
false; it is fact. But false when you think that "I am the enjoyer of
this world." That is false. If we accept it, that it is Kṛṣṇa's, and
you(it) should be utilized for Kṛṣṇa's service, then it is not
false." Because the reflection is derived from reality, it is also
reality. It is not that the reflection shows some other object than the
tree. Although the reflection of the tree on the reservoir of water is
not the actual tree, we can still get a pretty good idea of how the real
tree looks like. Similarly, we can utilize everything in the material
world as long as we do it in proper consciousness. And this is what
makes the difference between the two worlds. The spiritual world means
that Krsna is the enjoyer and the material world means that I want to be
the enjoyer. This subtle change in consciousness makes the reflection
perverted and thus unreal. Because we want to be the enjoyer or in other
words Krsna, the Supreme Lord, we fall into the ever ongoing tabernacle
of duality of bhog and tyaga -false enjoyment of the material energy
and when frustrated false renouncement of such enjoyment. Because such
false conceptions cannot last forever, the attractively looking
impersonalistic tyagi is merely a materialist having a break.
 His
Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the apostole of
transcendental freedom has entered amongst us to expose the fanatical
followers of such a mindless cycle and began to cure us by the Hare
Krsna maha-mantra, or the divine chanting of the Holy names of Krsna.
While in the illusion of being the enjoyer of this material world we
fully depend on the agent of the Lord mayadevi to maintain such
perverted consciousness through various allurements. The transcendental
chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra: Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna
Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare however cannot
depend on any material circumstance as the mahamantra is non-different
from the Lord who descends in this form as the namavatar(incarnation of
the holy name). Just as God can never be covered by illusion, similarly
transcendental chanting of the Hare Krsna mahamantra cannot be checked
by anything material as matter itself is nothing but yet another energy
of the Lord. This is the true understanding of oneness of God and such
understanding will become more and more realized when we simply persist
with this transcendental chanting under the direction of His Divine
Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I therefore offer my humble
respects unto the feet of our spiritual master Srila Prabhupada, who has
opened my darkened eyes with the torchlight of knowledge and i humbly
pray that he may engage me in his transcendental service. Let us
remember His divine appearance in this world by enlightening one another
on his instructions. That is the true godbrotherhood- in the service of
 the spiritual master.

 your servant Purujit Dasa
